Solar power is obviously an environmentally friendly way to produce electricity in a world where so much energy is being used by a multitude of mobile gadgets like cell phones, PDA's, digital cameras, GPS's, MP3 players etc. Be environmentally cool with the solar backpack from Voltaic.The pack stores energy until it's needed and has a set of universal adapters and connectors for many mobile devices. The solar panels are waterproof, flexible and work independently of each other, so if one gets broken it still keeps working.

Special Note:- These bags do not have the charging capacity for a full sized laptop. The bag produces 4watts and not the 10watts which most Laptops require. If you have small handhelds, check the wattage first. The maximum voltage output of the battery pack is 7.2V. Some devices may require a higher voltage (such as some larger digital cameras). The best alternative is to use a car charger and connect the car charger socket directly to the solar panels which produce 10V 400mA.

Backpack:

1-2 day hike / Hand Luggage bag weighing 3.5Kg / 1.5Kg. Overall approximate dimensions unpacked are 350mm wide x 550mm long. As well as having all the benefits of the Converter bag, the Backpack bag has an increased 30 litre capacity with a 2 separately zipped compartments to cram even more stuff in. There are also compartments on either side of the bag that are big enough for a small camera or sunglasses case plus an additional adjustable phone case on the shoulder strap that plugs into the solar panels on the back. Panels
They can be broken, but are unlikely to be damaged in typical use. They can easily stand up to being dropped and leaned on. If you were to place the panel over a rock and stand on it you would cause the cells to crack, which would reduce the output of that panel. Since the three panels operate independently the other two would continue to provide sufficient charge to run most small devices, but the charge times would be increased. Broken panels can be removed and replaced if and when required.
