Returns, Refunds & Warranties
Please choose wisely
Here at Funky Company we have made every effort to supply as much accurate, informative and helpful information so that you can make the same sort of purchase decisions here on-line as you would in any retail store. This includes close up photography, dimensions and comprehensive written parts. Obviously you are unable to have that touchy feely experience with on-line shopping , so we have done what we can to give to all the information we have available. All the information has been provided to prevent an event happening called Buyer's Remorse or Buyer's Regret.
In most, if not all cases this is preventable and it only occurs when insufficient information is available and so guess work is applied so a decision can be made. If you require any additional info on any of the products in our catalogue please drop us a mail at enquiries@thefunkycompany.com and we will have an answer for you. This also applies if you intend to buy for others. If you are in doubt we do have vouchers available. It's cheaper to get it right the first time around.
If you suffer from or are prone to Buyers Remorse or Buyers Regret , we are sorry but there is nothing we can do. Just take your time.
Returns
If your purchase is not working, faulty, broken on arrival, inoperative during initial start-up, switching on or plugging in, return it in its original packing (including instructions and information) within 15 days and we will refund your money. Only faulty goods may be returned so please inspects your goods when they arrive. If for some reason your product / purchase arrives in a damaged condition please contact us and use our Returns form within 48 hours of their arrival. You will be required to complete the form and retain the original packing for returning to us.
For those items that require batteries please use new cells and not old ones where the amperage may be insufficient for your purchased item. Insufficient amperage is a known cause of battery operated equipment malfunctioning when there is nothing really wrong with the device.
Note:- Where incorrect or false warranty claims are found, you will be charged a NFF ( No Fault Found) fee of AU$100 or equivalent in your local currency.
To return your purchase to us, fill out the returns form and send it to us via email if possible. Once we have received your completed Returns form we will send you a RIN number (Returns Identity number). Please keep this number safe and available whist we deal with your case. Return your product to use with the original invoice with the RIN number clearly written on it. Returns must reach us within 15 days. Any delays may put your claim /warranty time beyond the 15 day given time.
In all cases, returns are to be posted to us here at The Funky Company to the address given below.

Replacements & Refunds
For all returns a 2 week turn-around is to be expected for replaced items that we deem to be broken beyond repair, not working or otherwise from the time taken for The Funky Company to make its evaluation. It is not 2 weeks from the time we receive the return goods. For all refunds and credits an estimated 4 week period is to be expected before they appear on your credit or bank statements.
We cannot make refund to credit cards that belong to 2nd parties, someone else's bank account other than the original purchaser or company accounts - unless it was a company account that made the original purchase. The Funky Company will be in touch with the individual account holder for each refund carried out via email. In some cases a phone call may be required if personal or secure details are needed to be conveyed.
Packaging.
The best packing to return your items will be the packing that we originally sent the item in. If this is not possible, please use suitable alternatives. Bubble wrap, thick foam and tape are advised together with a suitable and approved Postal bag, box or containers. Please don't use tissue paper and shopping bags as there is no inherent protection in these materials for postal purposes. If these items are used to return packages to us, there is a good chance your claim will be denied processing and be sent back to you as it was sent to us. Additional and unwarranted damage could have occurred when the item was sent back to us. Please take some care and remember the RIN ( Returns Identity number) on your invoice.
Warranties
The Funky Company has no liability on the individual warranty on the products that are sourced from its suppliers and manufacturers. Each product that is sold by us is understood to be free from defect in both material and workmanship for a period of 30 days from invoice/receipt date. If a product has been identified as to having or containing a defect in its material or functionality within the warranty period The Funky Company has the option to either repair, replace or carry out a refund on the product. The Funky Company does not accept any liability beyond our policy and does not accept any liability for lost items once received or within the customers care.
In some cases but not all there are extended warranty options available given by the manufacturer of individual products. If you wish to use these warranty options outside of The Funky Company's 30 day policy it will be your responsibility to follow/pursue and abide by those other warranty conditions, guarantees and rights. It is your responsibility to fill in warranty cards and forms and send them, if required to any address ( email or postal ) supplied and follow any additional conditions and instructions given. The Funky Company is not responsible for any costs involved in and including extended warranties supplied by manufacturer or supplier on purchased products.
Postage, Packing and Shipping
Here at the Funky Company would like to give you, the customer some choice in how your package is delivered to you today. After some extensive research we have found that there is no single perfect Postage and Packing solution for us due to our diverse product range.
Our single main problem is to calculate accurately and most cost effective way of sending a package to you wherever you are in the world outside of Australia.
Most similar sites have opted for a sliding scale approach based on how much is purchased by value. Some have gone for a more global regional approach which also works. We are going to do something else.
Within Australia our most cost effective and reliable way would be to use Australia Post and we use when we can on the smaller items Express Post bags. All other times we use Mailing boxes for safe shipping.We have a sliding scale based on how much is purchased.
If you would like to make any special orders, please call us first and we might be able to fine tune postage rates for you.

Delivery generally takes between 2 to 3 working days but it depends if you reside in the CBD of your city.
Post bags & Express Post on smaller items is the quickest economical delivery service for letters, documents and parcels. Next business day delivery is guaranteed* to all street addresses and post office boxes within the Express Post Next Business Day Network, if posted on a business day Monday to Friday in accordance with conditions set out on Express Post items.
Next Business Day Delivery Networks
The national next business day network operates between all capital cities (except Darwin and in Perth CBD only) and a number of other important centres. Please go to the Australia Post web site to see if your location is within the next day delivery zone in your state.
Outside of Australia
We will send orders nearly anywhere - and we have done so already. We have sent orders to the USA, Canada, Japan and France to name a few.Orders going outside of Australia get a little more interesting based on delivery address and weight and to get around this problem we give you a solution, in fact several solutions.
When you have purchased a product from The Funky Company and have finished shopping, you will be lead out to the checkout area. At the checkout you will enter your name, delivery and card details. We will then send you an email to confirm this order and then set about getting a postage quote for you.
When we receive your order we will supply 2 or 3 options for you to choose for your shipping.We will email you with your options. You then choose which shipping method you prefer and then email us back to let us know. The email will also ask for a suitable time for us to call you to complete your order.
Note:- For our Japanese and Russian customers. Please email us with your address written in Japanese or Russian so that your local mail delivery persons can understand the address.
1.Air Mail Standard.Delivery times will vary and can take up to 7-9 working days.

3. Sea mail.Delivery times and cost will vary greatly.Sometimes this might not be an available option for us.
Note- These have been checked with Australia post ( International post) and they are as accurate as possible.
Orders will be processed and dispatched, subject to product
availability, based on the delivery service chosen. All order forms
must contain correct and complete information.
If any information supplied including the wrong address, name or destination, we are not obliged to re-send the order at our expense. Redirection to an address other than that contained within your original order will incur you additional charges. Complete and correct information, such as telephone numbers etc. allows us to contact you in the event of a problem should it arise.
